Music Hall
The above event was first introduced by Age Concern in 2003. For
the first four years, the event was staged at the Haymarket Theatre,
selling out in 2005 & 2006. Due to popular demand, Age Concern took
the show to the Anvil in 2007 in order to increase audience
capacity.
Again, we achieved a sell-out, bringing an enjoyable
evening of Victorian Music Hall type entertainment to nearly 1000
people!
The Anvil was home again to the
event in 2008,
and
2009.
The show, devised, compiled and directed by Miss Helen Watson,
encompasses all styles of musical entertainment from music hall,
variety,
vaudeville, modern day musicals and some comedy sketches as
well.
