Café
Age Concern’s Café at Church Cottage is open every Wednesday from 10.30 am to 1.00 pm. The Café is informal and friendly. Volunteers work in teams of 3 or 4. Tasks include setting up and clearing away, preparing and serving drinks, snacks and light meals and giving change. Some volunteers also help with shopping.
Person specification:
Would suit someone who enjoys meeting people and is happy working as part of a team. Volunteers must be fit enough to be on their feet for several hours.
Level of Commitment:
Volunteers decide how often to put themselves on the rota. Most help once or twice a month and also attend occasional meetings.
