Volunteering
Computer Learning Centres
We have been running a very successful Computer Learning Centre
since 1999 which is totally manned by volunteers. We offer
one-to-one sessions in a relaxed, informal setting. Volunteers work
as part of a team, sharing information, skills and attend regular
meetings.
We provide sessions at two locations, either on a Tuesday or Thursday morning.
Person specification:
We are looking for tutors with good general IT knowledge and
patience. Particular skills such as digital photography, genealogy,
databases and other creative packages are also sought. The ability
to work as part of team is also a requirement.
We also require a receptionist for our South Ham Computer Learning Centre. This role involves booking clients appointments, liaising with the tutors and library staff.
Level of Commitment:
Weekly on either a Tuesday or Thursday morning.
You should also be willing to undergo any relevant training and attend team meetings which are usually 4 times per year
Please go to the Computer Learning Centre page for more details.
